Pagbibigay ng booster sa mga subdivisions iniapela sa IATF

Umapela ang isang kongresista sa Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na payagang magsagawa ng booster vaccination ang mga  pribadong subdibisyon para sa mga residente nito.

Ayon kay Quezon City Rep. Precious Hipolito Castelo, humingi ng tulong ang mga nasasakupan nito para payagang magsagawa ng sarili nilang pagbabakuna ng booster tulad ng unang pagpayag ng IATF na isagawa ang una at ikalawang bakuna.

Sinabi pa ng kongresista na sa desisyon ng pamahalaan na paikliin ang oras para sa pagbibigay ng booster dose mula sa anim na buwan hanggang tatlong buwan, dapat asahan ng mga awtoridad ang pagdagsa ng maraming gustong pagbabakuna sa mga vaccination facilities.

“With the government’s decision to shorten the time for giving the booster dose from six months to three months, Castelo said the authorities should expect crowding in many vaccination facilities. We should welcome the desire of many people to receive additional protection from Covid-19 and its new variant Omicron. Allowing homeowners’ associations that administered the basic shots to give the booster dose will ease crowding in inoculation centers,” paliwanag ni Castelo.

Idinagdag pa nito na nangangamba ang ilang residente sa mga subdibisyon nab aka mahawa sa COVID-19 virus dahil sa pagsisiksiksikan sa vaccination centers.

“They will not lack volunteer medical doctors, nurses and other health professionals from their residents,” ani Castelo.

Sa pamamagitan aniya na pagpapalawig ng pagbabakuna ay mapapadali ang pagkamit ng bansa sa heard immunity laban sa virus.

 Samantala, nanawagan si Castelo sa health, tourism at airport officials na ayusin ang magulong reception at pagku-quarantine sa mga umuuwing Filipino  sa bansa.

Tugon ito ng kongresista sa reklamo ng dalawang nasasakupan nito na dumating mula Estados Unidos ay naghintay ng magdamag sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) bago mailipat sa quarantine hotel sa Quezon City.

“They were given the runaround for several hours shortly after their arrival at 5 in the afternoon. They were made to go from one government desk to another until toward midnight, when they were told that offices were already closed and they had to wait till the next morning to be brought to their hotel,” ayon pa dito.

“Is this the way we treat our returning kababayan? Nearly two years into the pandemic, are agencies still groping in the dark on pandemic-related procedures?” tanong pa ni Castelo.
