Pinalawig pa ng Senado ang work suspension dahil sa patuloy na pagdami ng bilang ng mga empleyado ang tinatamaan ng COVID-19 virus.
Sa inilabas na advisory ng Office of the Secretary, sinabi ni Atty. Myra Marie Villarica na base sa direktiba ni Senate President Vicente Sotto III simula Enero 18 hanggang Enero 23 ay wala munang pasok sa Senado.
“Upon instruction of Senate President Vicente Sotto III and in view of the rising number of employees who have recently tested positive for COVID-19, please be advised that the work suspension will be extended for the period January 18 -23, 2022,” ayon pa sa abiso ng Senado.
Samantala, ang mga itinakdang committee hearing, technical working group, at ipa pang pagpupulong ay gagawing vitual na lamang.
