“How pregnant mothers can protect the child in their wombs must be made perfectly clear so that vaccine hesitancy can be addressed. The current programs on polio, measles, HIV, and other mandatory vaccines for newborns, growing infants, and toddlers must be vigorously implemented at barangay health centers, super health centers, and social hygiene clinics,” sabi ng kongresista.

“HIV testing has declined since the COVID pandemic began. We must revive HIV testing and other STD testing because people with HIV are among the immunocompromised,” dagdag pa nito.

“Not only should first aid be taught in all our schools but also in every barangay because the first seconds to 5 minutes are the most crucial for first aid intervention to reduce dead-on-arrival cases. Basic hands-only CPR, quick response to stroke, burns, bleeding, and road crash trauma must be taught to barangay residents,” sabi nito.

“LGUs must mobilize the colleges producing graduates of medicine, nursing, medtechs, and physical therapists to teach first aid, personal hygiene, proper handwashing, and balanced nutrition with exercise in all  barangays,” paliwanag pa ni Alonte.
