“I thank our presiding officer, Senate President Vicente Sotto III, for his guidance and leadership, allowing us to become incredibly productive. And I thank all our colleagues for diligently studying and voting on each and every measure. I can say without a doubt that this Senate body has been one of the most hardworking groups in Senate history,” sabi ni Zubiri.
Karamihan sa mga panukalang batas ay may kinalaman sa local import, pagbuo ng state universities and colleges, primary and secondary schools, hospitals, at marine hatcheries, at ang pagtatayo ng provincial offices para sa Commission on Higher Education (CHED), ng Land Transportation Office (LTO), at ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) para mailapit sa taumbayan.
“We hope our colleagues in the House of Representatives appreciate our effort to pass these local bills. Having been a congressman myself, I know how hard they work to deliver the necessary legislation for their respective constituents, and so I am very glad that we have all been able to efficiently work together for our people,” apela ni Zubiri.
Kabilang din sa ipinasa ng Senado sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang Marawi Siege Victims Compensation Act; ang COVID-19 Benefits and Allowances for Health Workers Act; ang Expanded Anti-Trafficking Act; ang Foundling Recognition and Protection Act; ang pag-amiyenda sa Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation Charter; ang Vintage Vehicles Regulation Act; ang Second Congressional Commission on Education Act; ang Extended Producer Responsibility Act; at ang pagdedeklara sa buwang ng Agosto 30 bilang National Press Freedom Day.
“I am glad that everyone has been amenable to working overtime, so we can pass these important bills before adjournment—especially bills like the Marawi Compensation Act and the Allowances for Health Workers Act, which a lot of people have been waiting for. This really is a working Senate, and I am so proud to be part of it,” giit nito.
