Super health centers tulong sa rural areas – Sen. Go

Iginiit ni Senador Christopher “Bong” Go ang kahalagahan ng pagtatayo ng mga super health centers sa buong bansa upang mapabuti at madaling makapakinabangan ng mga Filipino ang government health services partikular ng nasa malalayong lugar.

“Isinulong ko po ang pagkakaroon ng mga super health centers sa iba’t ibang parte ng buong bansa. Layunin po ng mga centers na ito na mas ilapit pa sa ating mga kababayan ang mga serbisyong medikal ng gobyerno, lalo na sa mga nasa liblib na lugar at pinakanangangailangan ng mga ito,” sabi ni Go.

“Sa pamamagitan nito, hindi na nila kailangang pumunta sa mga malalaking ospital na kadalasan ay nasa mga siyudad,” dagdag pa ni Go.

Aniya, ang super health center ay isang uri ng medium version ng polyclinic at mas pinabuting besyon ng rural health unit na itatayo sa nasa 514.3 square meters.

Nakapaloob umano dito ang pagkakaroon ng lab facilities, pharmacy, birthing facilities, out-patient department, dental services, comprehensive PhilHealth out-patient department, at iba pang minor services.

Iminungkahi rin ng senador na ang mga super health centers ay magagamit din bilang satellite vaccination sites sa mga Pinoy na nakatira sa mga urban centers.

“As chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, I continue to look for solutions to problems in the delivery of effective healthcare to our people. One of the pressing issues that needs to be addressed is the lack of accessible medical services in the countryside,” sabi pa ni Go.

“It is for this reason that I proposed the establishment of Super Health Centers. The aim of these centers is to give Filipinos better access to the healthcare services provided by the government, most especially in faraway places where it is needed the most. Through this, Filipinos will not have the need to go to big hospitals in towns or city centers. Through this, we are nearer to our goal of a healthier, more resilient nation,” ayon pa dito.

Sinabi pa ni Go na may nakalaang pondo para sa konstruksyon ng 305 Super Health Centers na  P3.587 bilyon budget sa ilalim ng Health Facilities Enhancement Program kung saan ang P2.031B ay para sa infrastructure at P1.556 bilyon ay para sa mga kagamitan.
