Nasabat ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BoC)- Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service Field Office-Intellectual Property Rights Division (CIIS-IPRD) at BOC-Port of Manila ang nasa P110 milyong halaga ng smuggled IPR-infringing goods sa Binondo, Manila.
Armado ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na inilabas ni BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, sinalakay ng CIIS-IPRD, BOC-POM, at ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang isang warehouse sa One Soler, Binondo, Manila.
Dito ay nakumpiska ang iba’t ibang pekeng produkto kabilang ang sikat na Hermes, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Marvel, Disney, Hot Wheels, Hello Kitty, Cars, Spiderman, Toy Story, Iron Man, at iba pa.
Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, posibleng maharap sa kasong paglabag sa Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (RA 8293) at ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (RA 10863) ang di pinangalanang may-ari ng nasabing kargamento.
