Iginiit ni Anakalusugan party list Rep. Michael “Mike” Defensor na marami nang pulitiko at local execs ang unti-unti nang lumilipat sa kampo nina presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at vice-presidential running mate Sara “Inday” Duterte
Ayon sa mambabatas, habang nalalapit o 30 araw bago ang May 9 elections, marami nang miyembro ng Kongreso at LGUs ang nagpapahayag ng paglipat at pagsuporta sa kandidatura ng UniTeam nina Marcos at Duterte.
“Every politician wants to be in the good graces of the next president. Nobody really wants to stick out like a sore thumb as the governor of a province, or the mayor of a city, or the representative of a district where the next president lost,” sa kalatas ni Defensor.
Si Defensor, ang kaalyado ng Marcos-Duterte tandem bilang mayoral candidate sa Quezon City, na pinakamaking lungsod sa bansa sa usapin ng populasyon at rehistradong botante.
Aniya, based sa pinakahuling surveys, ipinakita na hindi matatalo ang Marcos-Duterte tandem sa kadahilanang hindi nagbabago ang puwesto sa mga presidential at vice presidential candidate.
“We would not be surprised if Bongbong is now receiving phone calls from members of Congress, governors, and mayors conveying their assurances that they are absolutely committed to supporting him as the next president,” sabi pa ni Defensor.
Inihalimbawa pa nito ang pahayag ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri at ama nitong si Bukidnon Gov. Jose Maria Zubiri Jr., na nagdeklara na ng suporta kina Marcos at Duterte.
Magugunitang si Zubiri ay unang nanindigan na hindi mag-eendorso ng presidential at vice presidential candidates dahil sa pagiging guest candidate nito sa iba pang partido.
