Ito ang ipinarating na pagbati ni House Majority Leader at Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin G. Romualdez para kay Vice President-elect Sara Duterte sa pagdiriwang ng kanyang ika-44 na kaarawan.
“I join the Filipino nation in extending our warmest greetings to Vice President-elect Sara Duterte as she celebrates her birthday today,” sabi ni Romualdez, pangulo ng Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD).
“We thank the Lord for giving her a full life, and we pray that He will continue to bless our incoming Vice President with good health and strength of will as she faces the next big challenge of her life,” dagdag pa nito.
Ayon kay Romualdez, si Vice President-elect Inday Sara ay isang tunay na lingkod-bayan na ang pangunahing layunin ay tugunan ang mga pangangailangan ng kanyang mga nasasakupan, isang bagay na mas lumakas sa pagsisimula ng pandemya ng coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) dalawang taon na nakararaan.
“She has the right mix of compassion, courage, and leadership that the people need for guidance and inspiration during tough times like this pandemic. We are all lucky to have her,” sabi pa ni Romualdez sa anak ni outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte.
Si Romualdez ay naging malapit kay Duterte noong panahon ng halalan at nagsilbing isa sa kanyang dalawang campaign manager.
Sa katatapos na eleksyon nakakuha ito ng mahigit 32 milyong boto.
“Let me also take this opportunity to extend to Vice President-elect Sara Duterte my heartfelt gratitude for accepting our offer for her to join the Lakas-CMD as our Chair. We, her party-mates, are proud to have her as our leader and guiding light,” ayon pa sa mambabatas mula sa Leyte.
“Maraming salamat po, VP Sara, sa pagtanggap sa hamon ng panahon. Maraming salamat po sa serbisyo at malasakit. Mabuhay po kayo!” sabi ni Romualdez, na napipintong maging House Speaker sa 19th Congress.
