Magpapatupad ng skeleton workforce ang tanggapan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa Intramuros, Manila dahil sa pagsasara sa ilang kalsada sa paligid nito dahil sa darating na inagurasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos, Jr. sa Hunyo 30.
Sa inilabas na abiso ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, sinabi nito na simula ngayong araw (Lunes) ay magpapatupad ang road closures at traffic rerouting ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) bilang bahagi ng security measures ni Marcos sa Hunyo 30.
“The venue for the inauguration is less than 3 kilometers from the BI Main office. Hence we are expecting that the road closures may affect the transportation in the area,” paliwanag ni Morente.
Idinagdag pa nito na base sa direktiba ng Civil Service Commission (SC), pinapayagan ang pagpapatupad ng alternative work arrangements.
“This shall ensure safe and convenient transportation of BI personnel without disrupting regular operations,” sabi ni Morente.
Sa kabila nito, tiniyak nito na magpapatuloy ang serbisyo ng BI para sa mga stakeholders nito.
“We are ensuring unhampered services during this period. However, the public may also consider going to any of our numerous offices nationwide for their immigration transactions to avoid the possible traffic congestion in the area,” sabi pa nito.
