Iniulat ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na tuluyan nang natapos at pinasinayaan ang Office of the President – Presidential Management Staff Sub-Central Office Southern Luzon Building na matatagpuan sa DPWH Regional Equipment Services Region V Compound sa Legazpi City.
“The new three-storey PMS building shall pave way for the government to reach the Filipino people at the grassroots level,” sabi ni Regional Director Virgilio C. Eduarte.
“It shall ensure public service continuity and inter-agency partnerships in the delivery and implementation of various programs of the government, especially during emergencies and disasters,”dagdag nito.
Ang nasabing proyekto ay konsepto ng DPWH Albay 2nd District Engineering Office kung saan gumamit ng honeycomb design, paggamit ng buri, o rattan baskets, na hindi lamang nagdaragdag ng aesthetic sa gusali ngunit tinitiyak ang tibay ng istrutura nito.
Ang ceremonial inauguration ay dinaluhan ni Acting Presidential Management Staff Head Undersecretary Ferdinand B. Cui, Jr., DPWH Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo, Assistant Secretary Antonio V. Molano Jr. at iba pang opisyal ng DPWH.
