Nagpasalamat si Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines Ambassador Jorge Moragas Sanchez sa mga Filipino sa magandang karanasan nito sa Pilipinas sa loob ng apat na taong panunungkulan nito na hindi nito malilimutan.
Sa ambush interview matapos ang pagdiriwang ng ika-20 anibersaryo ng Philippine-Spanish Friendship day at ng 123rd Anniversary of Historic Siege of Baler, sinabi ni Moragas na naging masaya ito sa pananatili sa bansa dahil sa iba’t ibang magagandang katangian ng mga Filipino at maging ng mga tourist destination sa buong bansa.
“I think I enjoyed it. I managed to visit the whole counrtry many islands many places from north to south, i came to Baler 3 times, I stayed not just one day I know the area I have to tell you that you have very good things in your country but especially I will point the nature you have a great sea island and under water lives, scuba diver so I enjoyed the wonders of the country also and underwater it is something you have to be proud of, that sense most important the people,” sabi ng ambassador.
Aniya sa loob ng apat na taong pananatili sa bansa bilang kinatawan ng Spain sa Pilipinas, nakita nito ang kagandahan ng ugali ng mga Filipino na tulad ng inaasahan nito dahil na rin sa may dugo rin itong Pinoy.
“The first the people, the kindness and the very hard feelings that I felt during this 4 years term is not something new for me because I knew the Philippines before, my mother was born in the Philippines. She was born in Baguio in 1939. I have some Filipino blood. My great grandparents are buried in the Philippines. I have family and I came here for the first time in 1978 and I come here for all my life. And I am half Filipino that’s clear. I will have Philippine in my heart forever,” sabi pa ni Moragas na nakatakda nang lisanin ang posisyon nito.
Payo pa nito sa susunod na ambassador ng Spain sa Pilipinas, na samantalahin ang magandang katangian ng mga Filipino.
“Enjoy the country take advantage of the people. Philippines has many good things, the nature the most importhant thing is the strength of the country resilient country with a lot of future, young population, young country in terms of age, 24 years average. In Spain we have 46, you are young country with bright future ahead,” aniya pa.
Dagdag pa nito, sang-ayon ito sa pahayag ni Senador Sonny Angara na magkaloob ng scholarship sa mga Filipino.
“Sen. Angara announced that we gonna do an effort to provide for scholarships to learn Spanish, teachers, online courses and I think it is something good. I have to remind you, in terms of languange you already have many words in Tagalog that comes from Spain. Words that come from mesa, silya to pasensya, and many other words about 3k words to say that half Spanish roots in Tagalog,” sabi pa ni Moragas.
