“Two years of failed blended distance learning is too long. Our education system is suffering a major learning crisis due to inadequate learning materials, unreliable internet connection, and lack of support for modular learning, among many other factors that made education inaccessible and sacrificed the quality of education our students received,” sabi ni Castro.

“We cannot afford another postponement of classes. But the Department of Education and the administration of Marcos Jr. must make sure that the schools are equipped with adequate resources for safe back-to-school for our students,” dagdag pa nito.

“The past administration failed to provide adequate funding to the Department of Education to prepare the schools for full in-person classes. It is only just to provide our schools, teachers, and education support personnel adequate resources for the preparation of full in-person classes,” ayon pa dito.

“On the proposal to postpone the start of the school reopening, Academic Year 2021-2022 officially ended last June 24, any school-related work assigned to teachers beyond June 24 covered by their Proportional Vacation Pay should have equivalent additional compensation or service credit,” sabi ni Castro.
