“As your Speaker, I vow to attend to all the concerns of your constituents. I shall try to be as fair as possible and favor no one,” sabi ni Romualdez, matapos mahalal bilang bagong House Speaker ng 19th Congress.
“There will be fair and equitable distribution of resources for development of our regions, regardless of political affiliation. Every Filipino family must be included in any development agenda. No one gets left behind,” aniya.
“Priority will be given to those willing to share the aspirations of their constituents with me,” sabi pa nito.
“I would like of course to thank my immediate past predecessor, Speaker Lord Allan J. Velasco. With all the legislative agenda that we accomplished together, he’s too responsible for the refurbishment of the most beautiful session hall that we have today, thank you Speaker and to (former) Secretary General Dong Mendoza,” paliwanag pa ni Romualdez.
“Rather than I set the position, I ask you all to accept the duty of service to the people, for you and I can move together as a team as we had in the previous Congress, and in unity there is strength,” dagdag pa nito.
