Mandatory military service hindi dapat ikaalarma — solon

Rep. Jude Acidre

“The National Defense Bill is not a sounding call for Filipinos to arm themselves for war. Nor does it require mandatory military service in normal times. House Bill (HB) No. 11 requires mandatory military service for all citizens only when the President mobilizes the nation “in case of actual invasion or when public safety requires,” sabi nito.

“Mobilization in defense of country is a must for any nation to survive. Any patriot knows this,” sabi ng kongresista.

“In relation to the patriotic duty of every citizen to defend the country when obliged to preserve and protect sovereignty, every Filipino, natural-born or naturalized shall be subject to basic, suitable military training and education for a minimum of two (2) years mandatory military service,” ayon sa panukala.

Ang HB 11 ay inihain ni Acidre, kasama sina House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, at Tingog party list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez.
