Hinimok ni Anakalusugan party-list Rep. Ray Reyes ang National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) na panindigan ang responsibilidad nito sa pagbibigay ng sapat na supply ng kuryente upang matiyak ang kalidad ng operasyon sa mga pasilidad ng kalusugan.
Ito ang giit ng kongresista matapos magbabala ang NGCP sa posibleng intermittent power interruptions tuwing tag-araw.
“We urge the NGCP to make sure that we have adequate power supply all throughout the summer season when demand is at its highest,” sabi ni Reyes.
“Hospital patients’ lives are on the line and we need to ensure that the quality of operations in our medical facilities will not be affected,” aniya pa.
Samantala, binigyan-diin din ni Reyes ang papel ng NGCP sa paglipat ng bansa sa green energy at binanggit na kadalasang pinakamataas ang singil sa kuryente tuwing tag-araw dahil sa mataas na demand sa kuryente.
Sa datos ng Department of Energy (DOE), inaasahan ang energy demand na umabot sa mataas na nasa 13,125 MW.
Panawagan pa ni Reyes sa NGCP, madaliin ang pag-aaral sa backlogs sa green energy upang magamit at mas murang energy supply para sa mga consumers.
“NGCP has the power to make it easier for renewable energy technologies to make it into the grid. We need to finish more projects that will ensure sufficient and cheaper energy supply,” sabi pa nito.
