Maraming nakalatag na reporma ang pamahalaan para umunlad at makaakit ng mga mamumuhunan, at makabuo ng mas maraming trabaho sa bansa upang maghanda ng mas magandang kinabukasan para sa lahat ng mga Pilipino.
Ito naging mensahe ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa 44th National Conference of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) sa Manila Hotel.
Binanggit ni Romualdez na ang naturang direksyon ng patakaran ay nakaangkla sa pagkilala ng gobyerno sa mahalagang papel ng mga employers sa pagsulong ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
“The Philippine government, under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr, recognizes this and is committed to fostering an environment that bolsters your efforts,” sabi ni Romualdez.
Pinasalamatan din nito ang mga business leaders sa kanilang katatagan sa pagharap sa hamon ng COVID-19 pandemic sa pamamagitan ng pagpapanatili ng kanilang mga negosyo upang matiyak na milyun-milyong Pilipino ang may lifeline o pinagmumulan ng kita sa panahon ng krisis.
“On behalf of the 19th Congress and the Filipino people, I express my heartfelt gratitude and admiration for your courage and perseverance,” sabi ni Romualdez.
“Our President, Bongbong Marcos, and we in the 19th Congress recognize and appreciate your significant role, not only as economic drivers but as stalwart partners in navigating these tumultuous times. We’ve seen firsthand your determination to keep the Philippine economy resilient amidst the global crisis,” dagdag pa nito
Upang gawing kaakit-akit na destinasyon ng pamumuhunan ang bansa at pasiglahin ang paglago, sinabi ni Romualdez na nakipagkaisa ang Kongreso sa administrasyong Marcos upang putulin ang red tape at isulong ang ease of doing business.
“Recognizing the advent of the digital economy, we’ve championed the Digital Philippines program. This is a dual effort to enhance our digital infrastructure and arm our workforce with the necessary digital skills, creating an avenue for more job opportunities in the tech sector,” aniya pa.
“Moreover, we are committed to ensuring that our economic growth is inclusive and sustainable. We are prioritizing sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and services, which are crucial for job creation, particularly for marginalized communities,” ayon pa sa lider ng Kamara.
Sa pagharap sa ilang dayuhang dignitaries, sinabi ni Romualdez na panahon na para mamuhunan sa Pilipinas na may pinakamabilis na lumalagong ekonomiya sa mundo, bukod pa sa pagkakaroon ng napakapopular na pinuno na si Pangulong Marcos.
Binigyan-diin nito na ang Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ay nagsusumikap na ma-institutionalize ang mga kinakailangang reporma, na binanggit na bago ipagpaliban ng 19th Congress ang First Regular session nito, inaprubahan ng Kamara amara ang 33 sa 42 priority legislations sa common legislative agenda ng Legislative- Executive Advisory Council (LEDAC).
Kabilang sa mga naaprubahang hakbang ay ang Maharlika Investment Fund bill, na naglalayong lumikha ng kauna-unahang sovereign investment fund sa bansa, na inaasahang magiging pangunahing mapagkukunan ng pondo para sa malalaking proyekto ng administrasyon.
“I am confident that with the continued collaborative efforts of the Marcos administration, the 19th Congress, and the Employers Confederation of the Philippines, we can achieve a prosperous and resilient economy, offering a brighter future for all Filipinos,” pahayag pa ni Romualdez.
