Opisyal nang inilunsad ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang kanilang eService, na idinisenyo upang baguhin ang paraan ng pakikipag-ugnayan ng mga stakeholders sa mga serbisyo ng ahensya.
Sa isang seremonya na ginanap sa BI main office sa Intramuros, ibinahagi ni Commissioner Norman Tansingco na sa bagong plataporma, ang mga pamamaraan sa BI ay nakatakdang maging mas mahusay at maginhawa para sa mga dayuhang turista.
“They can now swiftly and securely complete their necessary immigration applications end-to-end online,” sabi ni Tansingco.
Ang mga aplikante para sa waiver of exclusion grounds para sa pagdating ng mga menor de edad na walang kasama, emigration clearance certificate, at dual citizenship sa ilalim ng RA 9225 ay maaari na ngayong magsumite ng kanilang mga aplikasyon online.
“Apart from these transactions, we are also excited to launch the online visa waiver and the tourist visa extension,” ani Tansingco.
Habang ang temporary visitors’ visa extension, o mas kilalang tourist visa extension, ay isa sa madalas na transaksyon sa ahensya para sa mga dayuhan na nais manatili sa bansa ng matagal.
“Visa extension is really one of the highlights of our eServices, given its impact on Philippine Tourism. We all know that the Department of Tourism (DOT) has recently launched the country’s new slogan, that’s why we are finding ways to make it easy for everyone to love our country more,” pahayag pa ni Tansingco.
“Our eServices allows our visitors to comply with their immigration requirements from the comfort of their own homes, hotels, or even by the beach. This would definitely aid in boosting tourism, which is one of the main thrusts of the President,” dagdag nito.
