Naglabas ng abiso ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa publiko na pansamantalang suspendido ang operasyon ng consular offices ng Dumaguete at sa SM City Clark and Temporary Offsite Passport Service (TOPS) sa Pampanga sa darating na Oktubre 20, 2023.
Ang abiso ay inilabas ng DFA kung saan ang suspensyon ng operasyon sa DFA CO Dumaguete na nasa 2nd Level, Robinsons Place South Road, Calidangan, Dumaguete City ay dahil sa selebrasyon ng Buglasan Festival sa nasabing lalawigan.
Ayon sa DFA, ang Buglasan Festival ay naaayon sa Proclamation No. 350 at magbabalik ang normal na operasyon sa Oktubre 23, 2023, araw ng Lunes.
Samantala, suspendido rin ang operasyon ng DFA CO at TOPS Angeles sa Robinsons Place Angeles sa Oktubre 20, 2023, na naaayon sa Proclamation No. 360 na idineklarang special non-working holiday sa lungsod ng Angeles.
“Passport applicants whose appointments are affected by the work suspension will be accommodated starting Monday, 23 October 2023 until 20 November 2023 at their original time of appointment. TOPS Angeles applicants will be accommodated at CO Angeles, the Supervising Consular Office of TOPS Angeles,” ayon sa abiso ng DFA.
