Agad na umaksyon ang tanggapan nina Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez at Tingog party-list upang matulungan ang mga biktima ng magnitude 6.8 lindol na yumanig sa katimugang bahagi ng Mindanao noong Biyernes.
Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., sinabi ni House Deputy Secretary General Sofonias “Ponyong” P. Gabonada na inatasan ni Romualdez ang kanyang tauhan, katuwang ang Tingog, na agad na magpadala ng suporta sa mga apektadong residente.
“Speaker Romualdez and Tingog party list are committed to doing our part to provide comfort and relief in these challenging times. The Speaker underscored the need for us to stand for the victims,” ani Gabonada.
Ayon kay Gabonada, tumulong si Romualdez sa pagpapalabas ng P10 milyong halaga ng medical assistance para sa mahihirap na pasyente mula sa Department of Health (DOH) at P10 milyong ayuda sa ilalim ng assistance to individuals in crisis (AICS) program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na ipaaabot sa distrito nina Sarangani Rep. Steve Chiongbian Solon at South Cotabato Lone District Rep. Loreto B. Acharon.
Sinabi rin ni Gabonada na magpapadala rin ng mga construction materials sa mga apektadong residente upang matulungan ang mga ito na makumpuni ang kanilang mga bahay.
Ayon pa kay Gabonada ang mga Tingog team sa Davao City at General Santos ay naghahanda ng 5,000 relief goods na ipadadala sa distrito nina Solon at Acharon.
Nakikipag-ugnayan na rin ang Office of the Speaker sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at mga mambabatas na ang distrito ay naapektuhan ng lindol para sa pagpapalabas ng quick response funds upang agad na maisaayos ang mga pampublikong imprastraktura gaya ng tulay at paaralan.
“Speaker Romualdez and Tingog Partylist’s commitment to the welfare of the affected community goes beyond words. We will always respond immediately to assist those in need,” dagdag pa ni Gabonada.
Samantala, nakikipag-ugnayan ang Kamara de Representantes sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno upang makapagpa-abot ng tulong sa mga biktima ng magnitude 6.8 na lindol.
“Prioritizing the safety and welfare of our citizens is essential. My office is actively coordinating with key agencies, including Phivolcs and the NDRRMC, to facilitate prompt and effective response actions,” ani Romualdez.
“We are keeping our kababayans in the impacted areas in our thoughts and prayers as they face this difficult situation,” dagdag pa nito.
Nangako rin si Romualdez ng suporta sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno upang magkaroon ang mga ito ng kinakailangang pondo para sa relief and rehabilitation ng mga apektadong komunidad.
“To our brothers and sisters in Mindanao, you are not facing this alone. Your resilience and strength are an inspiration to us, and we stand with you. Together, we will rebuild and come out of this stronger than ever,” dagdag pa ni Romualdez.
