Kamara di prayoridad ang resolusyon na imbestigahan si dating Pangulong Duterte — solon

Hindi prayoridad ng Kamara ang panawagan na makipagtulungan ang pamahalaan sa pagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon sa International Criminal Court (ICC) laban kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ito ang sinabi ni House Majority Leader at Zamboanga City Rep. Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe kung saan wala umanong direktiba si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez para bigyan ng prayoridad ang pagtalakay sa mga resolusyon na nananawagan sa gobyerno na makipagtulungan sa ICC kaugnay ng isinasagawa nitong imbestigasyon sa madugong war on drugs ng administrasyong Duterte.

Aniya, ang tatlong resolusyon kaugnay ng pakikipagtulungan sa ICC ay itinatrato gaya ng iba pang ordinaryong panukala na dumaraan sa regular na proseso ng lehislatura.

Sinabi ni Dalipe, chairperson ng Rules committee, na kung mayroong panukala na nais si Romualdez na agarang maaksyunan ng Kamara ay inaatasan nito ang House Committee on Rules upang bigyan ng prayoridad ang paglalagay nito sa schedule.

“As Chair of the Committee on Rules, I know for a fact that there is no instruction from the Office of the Speaker that requires us to give special attention to the House Resolutions seeking our cooperation with the ICC. This will be treated like all other House Resolutions, but we have to respect the autonomy of the legislative process and the necessity for adherence to establish procedures,” ani Dalipe.

Bagama’t mataas umano ang pagtingin ng Kamara kay dating Pangulong Duterte, hindi umano nito pipigilan ang sinumang miyembro ng Kamara na maghain ng resolusyon upang suportahan ang imbestigasyon ng ICC.

“The democratic principles that underpin the legislative process allow for the expression of diverse opinions. The House is composed of 310 independent minds and diverse cultural and political backgrounds, so it is important that we hear the sentiment of everyone,” sabi pa ni Dalipe.

Iginiit ni Dalipe na iginagalang ng liderato ng Kamara ang pagkakaroon ng magkakaibang pananaw ng mga miyembro nito at hinihimok ang malayang palitan ng mga ideya.

“The legislative process is a cornerstone of our democracy, and the House of Representatives remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities with the utmost dedication to the principles of justice, fairness, and the rule of law,” ayon pa dito.

“All members of the House are entitled to voice their perspectives within the democratic framework, ensuring a robust and inclusive discussion on matters of national importance,” dagdag pa nito.
