Nagpahayag ng pasasalamat si Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez sa balita na ang Senado ay magsisimula na ng mga pagdinig sa Resolution of Both Houses 6 sa susunod na linggo.
Ayon kay Romualdez, ito ay nagmamarka ng isang makabuluhang hakbang patungo sa pinakahihintay na mga pagbabago sa Konstitusyon.
“We are heartened by the news that the Senate, finally, will commence hearings on Resolution of Both Houses 6 next week. This marks a significant step towards the much-awaited constitutional amendments,” aniya
“As Speaker of the House of Representatives, I await with great anticipation the outcomes of these Senate deliberations. The prospect of amending and potentially easing certain restrictive provisions in the 1987 Constitution is more than a legislative exercise; it is a great stride towards realizing the aspirations of our people and unlocking the full potential of our nation,” dagdag pa nito.
Pinasalamatan din ni Romualdez si Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri sa naging desisyon nito na tuluyan nang umusad ang RBH no. 6.
“I commend Senate President Zubiri for his leadership in taking this bold step forward and look forward to the insightful outcomes of the Senate’s deliberations. Together, we are writing a new chapter in our nation’s history, one that holds the promise of transformative change and enduring progress,” sabi ng lider ng mahigit 300 kongresista.
“Asahan po ng ating mga senador na kasama nila ang House of Representatives sa misyong ito. Handa kami na umaksyon at aprubahan sa Kamara ang mga pagbabagong ipapasok ng Senado sa ating Konstitusyon, matagal na namin itong hinihintay,” paliwanag pa nito
Una nito, sinabi ni Zubiri na bubuuin na lamang ang subcommittee members na pangungunahan ni Senador Sonny Angara base sa permiso ni Senador Robinhood Robin Padilla, chairman ng Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes.
“We are gonna create the subcommittee, wherein Sen. Angara will led with the permission of course of Senator Padilla. Tapos by next week mag-uumpisa na po siya sa mga hearing doon sa RBH 6,” ani Zubiri.
