Inilunsad ng Foreign Service Institute ang isang online database on migration matters bilang pinakabagong proyekto ng Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies (CIRSS).
Tinawag itong “Matters of Migration,” ang microsite ay naglalayong magkaloob sa publiko ng reliable source ng data and information on migration at ibahagi ang karanasan ng Pilipinas.
Sa paggawa ng migration information ay mas madaling ma-access at maunawaan, ang microsite ay magho-host ng iba’t ibang informal posters, na tumatalakay sa mga tanong tulad ng “What is migration?” “What are Philippine domestic legislations protecting migrant workers?” at “Which agencies are involved in Philippine migration governance?,” na naka-link sa mga kaukulang probisyon para sa karagdagang pag-aaral.
Ang datos na ginamit sa microsite ay kinuha sa semestral Report to Congress na isinumite ng Philippine Foreign Service Posts, na naaayon sa Republic Act No. 8042, as amended ng Republic Act No. 10022.
Ang Foreign Service Institute ay magsisilbing training and research office ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na binuo sa ilalim ng Presidential Decree No. 1060, as expanded ng Republic Act No. 7157.
Ang CIRSS ang hahawak sa research program nito habang ang Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy (CPRSD) ang sasakop sa training activities.
Prayoridad sa kasalukuyang taon ang artificial intelligence, Indo-Pacific, migration, blue economy, middle power diplomacy, at ang West Philippine Sea.
Tatayong chairman ng FSI Board ang kalihim ng DFA, habang ang FSI Director General ang chairperson ng Civil Service Commission (CSC), at ang pangulo ng University of the Philippines (UP), at ang pangulo ng Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) ay magiging miyembro.
