Senador Revilla naghain ng medical leave

Naghain ng medical leave si Senador Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. sa isinagawang plenary session ngayong araw dahilan sa pagbuka ng sugat nito mula sa Achilles Tendon repair surgery.

“Following my doctors’ advice, I will be taking a medical leave from the Senate’s plenary session today. Sa aking pisikal na
pagdalo at paglahok sa plenaryo – na taliwas sa paulit-ulit na payo ng aking mga doktor – namaga at bahagyang bumuka ang sugat mula sa aking Achilles Tendon repair surgery,” sa inilabas na kalatas ni Revilla.

Nagpadala si Revilla ng sulat kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri upang sabihin ang desisyon ng mga doktor nito na magpahinga dahil sa muling pagbuka ng tahi ng sugat nito.

“Despite my determination to participate in our plenary proceedings, the Senate President has decided to no longer allow me to do so remotely and online,” ayon pa kay Revilla.

Sa ipinadalang larawan ni Revilla sa sugat nito ay nakitang namaga at bumuka ang tahi ng sugat nito kung kaya’t nahirapang maglakad ang senador.

“I appreciate the consideration and the desire of my colleagues to allow me to continue attending sessions virtually. Maraming salamat. Tulad nang lagi – I will continue to fulfill my mandate and push for the approval of my bills, hold hearings of the Committees that I chair, and attend to my duties as member of the Commission on Appointments. Tuloy po ang trabaho,” dagdag pa nito.

Subalit sa kabila ng medical leave, sinabi ni Revilla na pinayagan naman itong makilahok sa plenary session sa pamamagitan ng virtual.

“Based on the discussions awhile ago, even if I am on medical leave, I am allowed to participate virtually because the consideration is based on my medical condition,” ayon pa sa senador.

Aniya, nakadepende sa assessment ng doktor nito kung ilang araw mananatiling hindi makakadalo sa plenary session.
