Pinuri ni House Deputy Minority Leader at Bagong Henerasyon party list Rep. Bernadette Herrera ang napapanahong paglagda ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa panukalang P5.268-trillion 2023 national budget.
Ayon sa mambabatas ang pondo ay idinisenyo para mapabilis ang pagbangon ng ekonomiya ng bansa mula sa COVID-19 pandemic at sa digmaan sa Ukraine at Russia.
“This first full-year budget of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is a strong way forward for the country as we begin a journey of recovery from global economic effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and more recently, the Russia-Ukraine crisis,” ani Herrera.
Sinabi ni Herrera na nakakatuwa na makita na ang administrasyong Marcos ay may malakas na pokus sa pagpapagaan ng ilan sa epekto ng inflationary habang tinitiyak na ang mahahalagang proyekto sa imprastraktura at mga programang socioeconomic ay pinondohan at nasa tamang landas.
Pinasalamatan ni Herrera ang mga miyembro ng bicameral conference committee na pinamumunuan nina Senador Sonny Angara at Ako Bicol Rep. Elizalde Co sa matagumpay na pagtupad sa kanilang mahalagang tungkulin na pag-ugnayin ang pagkakaiba sa mga bersyon ng badyet ng Senado at Kamara.
“The bicameral conference committee did a good job in harmonizing the conflicting provisions in the Senate and House versions in an expeditious and thorough manner, thus ruling out a reenacted budget that could derail our economic recovery,” ayon pa dito.
