Tuluyan nang ipinatapon pabalik ng Japan ang dalawa pang nalalabing Japanese nationals kabilang ang sinasabing lider ng sindikato na nag-o-operate sa bansa habang nakakulong sa BI detention facility sa Taguig.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, kagabi nang isakay sa Japan Airlines patungong Tokyo ang mga Japanese nationals na sa sina Tomonobu Saito,45-anyos, at Yuki Watanabe, 38-anyos.
Sinasabing sina Tomonobu at Yuki ay kabilang sa apat na dayuhan na tinukoy ng Japan authority na miyembro ng gang nasa likod ng krimen sa nasabing bansa.
Si Tomonobu na may alyas Kojima Tomonobu at Yuki alyas Kenjie Watanabe at Kenjie Shimada ay kapwa naaresto noong Abril 19, 2021 sa isang hotel sa Parañaque City ng pinagsanib puwersa ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
“Yesterday we received confirmation that the local cases of the two remaining suspects have been dismissed by the courts. This means there is no more legal impediment for us to implement their deportation,” sabi ni Tansingco.
Samantala, pinasalamatan naman ni Tansingco si Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla sa tulong para mapabilis ang kaso ng apat na Japanese nationals.
“We thank the Department of Justice (DOJ) for their continued assistance in expediting the resolution of the local cases of these deportees, so we can finally send them back for them to face their crimes,” ayon sa BI chief.
“This has been a constant frustration for immigration authorities. There are many instances wherein we are unable to implement the deportation of a foreign national because of their pending cases here in the Philippines,” ani Tansingco.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Remulla na titingnan ng departamento ang mga paraan upang harapin ang mga deportasyon na pinipigilan ng mga lokal na kaso sa bansa.
“The support of the Department to push for the immediate resolution of these cases is really helpful. This action would also majorly help us decongest our facility,” sabi nito.
Ang pasilidad ng BI sa loob ng Camp Bagong Diwa sa Bicutan, Taguig ay may kapasidad na 140 wards, ngunit kasalukuyan ay mahigit 300 ang bilang ng mga deportees.
