Sinisiguro ni House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez na matatapos ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang pagtalakay sa 2023 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) sa takdang oras.
Ito ang sinabi ni Romualdez kasunod na natanggap nitong liham mula sa Malacanang na nagsasaad na sinesertipikahan ang pagpasa sa House Bill 4488 o ang “An Act appropriating funds for the operation of the government of the Republic of the Philippines from January one to December thirty-one, two thousand and twenty-three (January 1 to December 31, 2023)”.
“We are right on track with our schedule. The certification from Malacanang will enable the House of Representatives to approve the 2023 GAB on second and third reading on the same day which we set on Wednesday,” sabi ni Romualdez.
Una nang sinabi ng mga kongresista at senador na bago ang unang recess ng mga ito simula Oktubre 1, 2022 ay ipapasa ng mga ito ang P5.268-trillion GAB.
