Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang pagtatayo ng isang 318-meter riverbank protection structure sa kahabaan ng riverbank sa Palico River sa Brgy. Bilaran, Nasugbu, Batangas.
Sinabi ni DPWH Regional Office IV-A Director Jovel G. Mendoza na ang nasabing flood control structure na itinayo sa ilalim ng DPWH flood management program na binubuo ng concrete revetment wall sa steel sheet piles.
“The completion of the flood control facility will ensure the safety of nearby low-lying communities, from the effects of flooding during heavy rains,” sabi ni Mendoza.
Ang P75 milyong konstruksiyon ng flood control structure ay pinondohan sa ilalim ng General Appropriations Act of 2022 (GA 2022) na ipinatupad ng DPWH Batangas First District Engineering Office.
