Sinisiguro ng Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) na nakahanda na ang lahat ng Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) Teams ng DPWH Regional and District Engineering Offices (DEOs) sa banta ng super typhoon Mawar.
“Our quick response assets composed of maintenance crew with equipment are now strategically prepositioned along national roads to respond to possible road closures and obstructions,” sabi ni Sec. Manuel Bonoan.
Bilang standard procedure, ang mga quick response teams ay inaatasang mag-monitor sa kalagayan ng mga national roads at mga tulay.
“They are also tasked clear national roads from road obstruction, identify alternative routes to ensure unhampered deliver of goods and service, and provide temporary structures to restore mobility when necessary,” ayon pa sa kalihim.
Sa Pinakahuling ulat ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), inaasahang ngayong araw ng Sabado inaasahan ang pagpasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility ng bagyong Marwan na tatawaging Betty.
