Inaprubahan na ng Senado ang panukalang P30.6 bilyong 2023 budget ng Department of Finance (DOF) at attached agencies nito.
Sa pagdinig sa plenaryo ng Senate Finance Committee sa pamumuno ni Senador Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara, madaling natapos ang pagtalakay sa pondo ng DOF sa kabila ng mga katanungan ni Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel Jr.
“I thank the Committee on Finance, led by Senator Sonny Angara, and the Senators for the attention they have given to the deliberation and swift approval of the DOF’s budget. This budget will give us the tools we need to fully implement the Marcos administration’s Medium-Term Fiscal Framework for fiscal sustainability and continued growth,” pahayag ni Diokno.
Kasamang inaprubahang pondo ng DOF ang Office of the Secretary, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Local Government Finance, Bureau of the Treasury, Central Board of Assessment Appeals, Insurance Commission, National Tax Research Center, Privatization and Management Office.
Kabilang din dito ang Philippine Tax Academy and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation.
Tinalakay sa pagdinig ang prayoridad ng DOF kabilang ang pagpapabuti sa tax administration sa pamamagitan ng digitalization ng serbisyo ng BIR at BOC.
Target ng Senado na maipasa ang House Bill No. 4488 o ang 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA) sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa sa Nobyembre 21, 2022.
