Pagbisita ng Vietnam National Assembly chairman sa Pilipinas ikinatuwa ni Speaker Romualdez

Ikinatuwa ni House Speaker Martin G. Romualdez ang nakatakdang pagbisita ng kanyang counterpart mula sa bansang Vietnam sa Pilipinas sa gitna ng bilateral meeting sa pagitan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. at Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Ang bilateral meeting ay ginanap sa Sokha Hotel bilang bahagi ng aktibidad ng 40th at 41st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits and related summits.

Sa pag-uusap ng dalawang lider, sinabi ni Prime Minister Chinh kay Pangulong Marcos na nakatanggap ito ng impormasyon tungkol sa pagbisita ni Vietnam National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sa Pilipinas sa Nobyembre 25.

“I welcome the visit of Vietnam National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to the Philippines this month. This kind of high-level political exchanges and interactions will go a long way to foster and enhance the long-standing relationship and partnership between our two countries,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Binanggit ni Romualdez na sa bilateral meeting, nagkasundo ang dalawang lider na pahusayin ang partnership at relasyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Vietnam sa ilang lugar tulad ng defense, trade, investment, agriculture at maritime security.

“It would be mutually-beneficial for the two countries to strengthen our relationships. We can learn from each other’s best practices in addressing common challenges facing us such as the effects of the pandemic and the headwinds of global inflation,” dagdag pa ni Romualdez.

Nakapagtala ang Pilipinas ng pangalawang pinakamabilis na paglago sa gross domestic product nito sa rehiyon para sa ikatlong quarter na may 7.6 porsiyento, kasunod ng Vietnam na nakapagtala ng 13.7 na paglago.

Nang malaman ang nalalapit na pagbisita ni Hue sa Pilipinas, ipinakilala ni Pangulong Marcos si Speaker Romualdez kay Prime Minister Chinh.

“We are looking forward to the visit of your Head of National Assembly. In fact allow me to introduce the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Speaker Martin Romualdez who will serve as his host in the time he is in the Philippines,” sa pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

Nagkaroon naman ng pag-uusap sina Romualdez at Hue sa pakikipag-ugnayan ng mga lider ng ASEAN sa pamunuan at mga delegado ng ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), kung saan binigyan ni Hue si Romualdez ng token of appreciation.

Nauna rito, sa kanilang diskusyon, tiniyak ni Prime Minister Chinh kay Pangulong Marcos na ang Vietnam ay patuloy na magiging kaibigan at maaasahang katuwang ng lahat ng bansa sa rehiyon, lalo na ang Pilipinas.

“Vietnam always prioritizes the relationship and partnership with the Philippines and the two countries enjoy over time a long lasting traditional friendship and cooperation,” sabi ni Chinh.
