Inilunsad ni Aklan 2nd District Rep. Teodorico Haresco Jr., ang Lab Bus Program, isang mobile laboratory at diagnostic clinic na naglalayong magdala ng mga serbisyong pangkalusugan at medikal na mas madaling maabot ng mga taumbayan.
“Health and wellness remain a priority agenda for Aklanons especially amid the pandemic. Our goal is to bring health services closer to the people,” ani Haresco.
Suportado ng Department of Health (DOH) Western Visayas Center for Health Development, ang Lab Bus ay magiging lingguhang medical mission para sa Aklan na magsisimula sa bayan ng Tangalan, isang 5th class municipality sa lalawigan.
“The Lab Bus is our fitting Christmas gift for the people of Aklan – to ensure that all families are safe and healthy as we provide more accessible health and medical services for them,” ayon pa kay Haresco.
Ayon kay Haresco, ang Lab Bus ay hango sa maimpluwensyang Love Bus ni dating Unang Ginang Imelda Marcos at pinatatakbo ng noon ng Ministry of Transportation and Communication na nagbigay ng kauna-unahang komportableng aircon bus sa Metro Manila.
“Accessing directly barangays, convenience plays a key role in providing medical and latest in technology services. When we bring these life-changing services to the comfort of the people’s homes and barangays, we send them an important message that their government is sincerely working for them,” dagdag pa nito.
Kabilang sa ipagkakaloob ng libreng medical consultation, ang laboratory tests, ultrasound, 2D echo, ECG, eye checkup, flu vaccines, anti-rabies vaccines, at maintenance medicines.
