“As chairman of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs, I am in full support of DILG Secretary Abalos’ call to “cleanse” the ranks of senior police officers who may have been “infected” or involved in the illegal drug trade,” sabi ni Barbers.

“In October last year, a member of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group identified as S/Sgt. Rodolfo Mayo Jr. was implicated in the storage of nearly a ton of shabu worth P6.7 billion in Manila. Since then, our anti-drug agencies had been quiet in identifying who was the drug lord, the traffickers, the protectors, the coddlers and other cohorts of Sgt. Mayo in the huge drug cache,” pahayag pa ng kongresista.
